The braided black textile coat is very flexible and upgrades the whole cable again. Ultra High Speed HDMI cables are installed in high-end systems. They support a bandwidth of up to 48Gbps and a resolution of up to 10K. Because of the high bandwidth, higher color depths and refresh rates now can be realized. It is possible to transmit 8K video material in 4:4:4 color space at 12-bit color depth (uncompressed). Compressed (DSC 1.2), 10K can also be transmitted in 4:4:4 color space at 16-bit color depth. Higher frame rates and bandwidths are becoming increasingly important in 3D, VR applications and video games. Due enhanced audio return channel (eARC), object-based audio formats can now also be transmitted via the HDMI cable. Hereto, the permitted bandwidth for the enhanced Audio Return Channel has been increased from 1Mbps to 37Mbps.
